Apple plans to open its first retail store in Southeast Asia

Electronic enthusiasts eight o'clock: According to foreign media reports, Apple is preparing to open a retail store in Singapore, which will also be its first Apple retail store in Southeast Asia.

After several months of construction, the building barriers around the retail store were all cleared on Wednesday, revealing the front of the retail store. Three symbols are printed on the storefront: the Apple logo, a red heart, and the “Little Red Dot” representing Singapore. The meaning of these symbols is obvious: Apple loves Singapore.

The retail store will officially open soon, but Apple did not disclose the exact date of opening. At present, Apple retail stores are blooming all over the world. Last year, Apple CEO Timm Cook announced that the company would open a retail store in India.

As of now, Apple's fans in Singapore and Southeast Asia can only buy Apple products through wireless carriers and official distributors. Apple just announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2017. According to the financial report, in the first quarter of this year, the number of iPhones sold by Apple was about 400,000 fewer than the same period last year.

The storefront of this new retail store also featured the names of 12 Singaporean creative people. These creatives will host the "Apple Today" workshop to show consumers how to completely play with iPhones, iPads and Macs. Apple said that such workshops will be rolled out to Apple retail stores around the world this month.
