The video coding standard developed was promulgated as a national standard in 2006. In 2009, the standard was approved by itu (International Telecommunication Union) as One of the standards adopted by iptv (Internet TV) was determined by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2011 as the only video decoding standard that must be supported by China ’s digital TV and other audio-visual terminals. Standard, CCTV has already conducted a trial broadcast.
