Black box is not locked version APU officially debuted on the 26th of this month

December this year and January next year are busy months for AMD. In addition to the Radeon HD 7000 series, which has attracted many eyeballs, AMD will also release some new CPUs and APUs. In addition to the higher-frequency bulldozer FX-6200, according to Donovan Haber of Turkey, the company will also launch the black-box version A8-3870K and A6-3670K Llano APU on December 26th and Christmas holidays.

In addition to not locking the frequency to adjust the FSB overclocking frequency, the two black box APU specifications are no different: still use Stars K10.5 core and 1MB L2 cache per core, integrated dual channel DDR3-1866 memory controller and support Direct X 11 Radeon graphics core. The A8-3870K's default frequency is 3.00GHz. It integrates a Radeon HD 6550D GPU with 400 SPs and a GPU frequency of 600MHz. The A6-3670K's default frequency is 2.70GHz. It integrates a Radeon 6530D GPU with 320 SPs and a GPU frequency of 433MHz.

According to AMD's own test data, the competitor of both processors is Intel's Core i3-2120 dual-core processor. In the CPU test, the Core i3-2120 can only be equated with the A6-3670K. The A8-3870K has achieved the lead in most projects. The APUs that integrate Radeon GPUs in tests with high GPU sensitivity have all won.

In the pricing section, the A8-3870K black box version is expected to sell for 135 US dollars, while the A6-3670K black box version is expected to sell for 115 US dollars.
