Emergency LED bulb - built-in battery can be removed as a flashlight

When the home is out of power, will you be stalking for a flashlight? Recently, a led bulb with a built-in lithium battery for $15 (about RMB 91) solved this problem. The light bulb, called the Ascella, can continue to illuminate through the internal battery during a power outage to achieve an emergency light effect. Interestingly, the Ascella can also be removed from the lamp holder for use as a flashlight.

There is a mode selector switch on the Ascella bulb. Only when switching to emergency mode, Ascella can continue to illuminate in the event of a power outage. Ascella's built-in battery lasts up to 3 hours. However, the brightness of the Ascella bulb will decrease when the battery is powered. When the Ascella is reinstalled back into the base, the internal battery can be fully charged in 3-4 hours. In addition, the official said that the life of the Ascella bulb can reach 18 years at a frequency of 3 hours per day.

Ascella bulbs are actually not that easy to use. In the actual test, we found that the brightness of Ascella is only equivalent to a 30W ordinary bulb, although the official said that its brightness can reach 150 lumens. In addition, even when the Ascella is mounted on the base during charging, it does not light properly. I don't know if this is a design flaw.

The idea of the Ascella bulb is still very novel. However, the brightness and functional defects make this bulb greatly reduced in actual use.
