introduction
The horizontal continuous casting brass wire production line can produce multiple brass wires at the same time. For this reason, the wire diameter detection of the brass wire can be detected online using a caliper, but the general caliper can only measure one brass wire. The size of the wire diameter, and if the distribution of the brass wire is too dense, it cannot be detected by the caliper. To this end, we have developed a three-way caliper to achieve wire diameter detection for multiple and brass wire continuous casting production.
1, the principle of measurement
The measuring principle of the three-way caliper is the commonly used photoelectric caliper, which has the characteristics of stable performance, suitable for dynamic measurement, low price and long life, and is not easily damaged.
The launch lens has a point source built in, and the light from the point source passes through the lens system (ie, the lens group) to form a collimated parallel field of view. The collimated parallel light is directly directed to the receiving lens, is focused by the lens system in the receiving lens, and is imaged on the CCD chip through the aperture of the aperture located at the focus position. When the object passes through the object in the field of view, the area blocked by the object under test will have a clear shadow on the CCD. The CCD chip is a photoelectric conversion element in the probe component that converts the received optical signal into an electrical signal. The electrical signal is received and amplified by the signal acquisition circuit, and then digitized and transmitted to the upper computer.
In practical applications, the optical system of the probe needs to be rigorously calculated and designed to achieve the best object image ratio to make the imaging boundary clear and minimize the imaging error. On this basis, each set of probes is installed in place and then used for the special "head scale calibration instrument" for scale calibration and nonlinearity error correction. The optical probe of the three-way caliper has the highest precision up to 0.003mm after scale calibration and nonlinearity error correction.
2, three-way caliper probe consists of
In order to adapt to the wire diameter measurement of the multi-brass wire, the three-way caliper has a parallel distribution of probes. According to the spacing of the measured brass wires, the probes are evenly distributed in parallel, thereby achieving yellowishness. The detection of copper wire can of course be customized into more probes, so that more simultaneous inspection of the rolled material can be achieved.
This arrangement can reduce the spacing and realize the synchronous detection of multiple rolled materials. At the same time, each measuring head is independent, and the diameter value of each tested brass wire can be independently detected. The speed of the tractor or extruder can also be controlled separately to control the wire size.
3, the display
The operating system detection of the three-way caliper is displayed as a liquid crystal display. As shown in the above figure, each display and operating system corresponds to one measured rolled material. This has the advantage of measuring each rolled material independently. Dimensions, while one or several of the rolled materials are not measured and do not affect the measurement of other rolled stock sizes.
The three-way caliper is also equipped with an external display for remote data reading so that the staff can observe the measured dimensions even if they are not at the production site.
