The US Department of Energy (DOE) published a final report on the Judd Museum of Natural History in Chicago, Illinois, which analyzed the feasibility of replacing localized halogens with LED partial illumination.
This Gateway Argument Report provides a holistic overview of the project, including its lighting performance, economic performance and energy savings potential.
In this project, 26 LED lights replaced 32 halogen track lights to provide illumination for a closed exhibition gallery. The Chicago Museum of Nature project used LED fixtures from Lighting Services Inc's LumeLEXTM, which were built using the Xicato LED model.
The main findings include:
LED system illumination saves 63% of energy compared to halogen illumination when producing the same illuminance as halogen system illumination.
Compared with halogen lighting systems, the overall investment payback period of LED lighting systems is about three years. However, if LED lighting and halogen lighting are all exchanged, the payback period may be 5 to 11 years, because there are other expenses, such as the cost of installing equipment, maintenance costs and lighting system to the air conditioning system. Impact.
LED lighting does not emit energy into the infrared or ultraviolet region of the electromagnetic spectrum, so LED lights will have less harm to some of the art in the museum.
This demonstration report is one of many reports of the DOE Gateway, which show the high performance of LED products on general lighting.
5.1 CH Home Theater Speaker System is the common name for six channel surround sound audio systems. 5.1 Speaker is the most commonly used layout in home cinema. It uses five full bandwidth channels and one low-frequency effects channel (subwoofer) to bring Stereo realistic sound. 5.1 Home Theater is also the standard surround sound audio component of digital broadcast and music.
