NEC and Neusoft to Push Cloud Computing Services in China

On August 31st, NEC (China) Co., Ltd. and Neusoft Information Technology Services Co., Ltd. announced today in Beijing that they will set up a joint venture in Dalian in October to launch cloud computing services for the Chinese market.

It is reported that the joint venture company is tentatively known as NEC Neusoft Information Technology Co., Ltd. The company's capital is 50 million yuan, of which NEC's contribution is 70%, and Neusoft's contribution is 30%.

The new company will provide integrated cloud computing services including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS to the Chinese market.

It is reported that data shows that the Chinese cloud computing market is rapidly expanding and is currently growing at a rate of 30% each year. In 2012, the market size will reach more than 16 billion yuan.
