This kind of DDR4 memory is just like - G.SKILL Trident Z series DDR4 16G desktop memory simple test

DDR4 memory has been available for a long time, and its price is no different from DDR3 memory. However, after using DDR4, many people feel that its performance is not much better than that of DDR3 memory. The reason is that the default frequency of most DDR4 memory is not high, basically starting at 2133MHz, although there are some memory labels. 2400MHz, but need to open the XMP function in order to truly reach 2400MHz frequency. To be honest this frequency is not high, in DDR3 memory, there is a lot of memory has exceeded this frequency. However, it is only the beginning stage of DDR4 memory. Its potential has not yet been fully realized. Therefore, the frequency of DDR4 memory has much room for improvement. For example, I recently used this Zigbee memory, the default frequency after opening XMP reached 3200MHz, and the timing is only C14. I will show you this high-frequency low-sequence product in detail below.

In the era of DDR4, Chichi's memory brought a lot of bright spots. The model of this product is Zhiqi F4-3200C14D-16GTZ set, the packaging box design is very beautiful, the front in addition to the memory pattern, there is vaguely a "H" pattern composed of many hexagonal honeycombs, there is a kind of enhanced cooling a feeling of.

In the upper left corner of the box, the words “Red” and “Dual” are marked to indicate the position of red.

This product is composed of two 8G memories. It is a dual-channel package with a memory frequency of DDR4 3200MHz, a memory timing of 14-14-14-34 2T, and an operating voltage of 1.35V.

After opening the box, you can see the physical memory. Personally feel that this kind of memory is more beautiful than the product diagram on the box.

The included Chichi LOGO sticker can be affixed to the chassis for added aesthetics.

Chichi F4-3200C14D-16GTZ memory vest with brushed aluminum technology, but the two sides of different colors, one color is silver-gray.

The other side is black.

The number of barcodes on the two memory sticks is very close. The memory model number, frequency, timing, capacity, and information supporting Intel XMP 2.0 are also printed on the label.

The top of the memory is made of red resin material, and the white G.SKILL LOGO is printed on it, which is very beautiful and plays a very good decorative role.

This memory vest, that is, the heat sink design is relatively thick, there are similar to the heat sink fin design on the top of the memory, to ensure maximum memory has a good cooling effect. Another 10 layers of PCB design also appears to be very thick.

The weight of the memory is about 72g, which is still quite weighty.

After installing the memory, the processor I used is the i5 6600K. Its memory controller supports up to two channels, but it does not support four channels. Therefore, using two memories to form a dual channel is just fine.

1:2133MHz (default mode)

If the XMP mode is not enabled or the memory is overclocked, the default frequency of the Chichi F4-3200C14D-16GTZ memory is 2133MHz and the voltage is 1.2V.

The following is the performance test, Lu master this super-entertainment in the running points of the software is essential, the picture above for its version information.

Test platform hardware information, you can see the memory entry shows 16GB (Zickey DDR4 3200MHz) information, have to say, although Lu master is very entertaining, but the detection of the hardware information is very accurate, and very grounded gas, White can understand it. Unlike some "tall" test software, there is a lot of information, but they do not understand at all.

Detailed information on Chichi memory.

Open the CPU-Z software, you can see the memory operating frequency is 2133MHz. The timing of the memory at this frequency is 15-15-15-36, the TRFC of the memory is 374 clocks, and the CR is 2T.

In Master Lu's test, the memory performance score was 10,368, and the computer's overall performance score was 321,553.

AIDA64 software version information as shown above.

In the AIDA64 software, scores are displayed at a frequency of 2133 MHz. In the Memory Benchmark test of AIDA64 software, the speeds (in MB/S) of Read, Write, and Copy are 30623, 31341, and 27377, respectively.

SiSoftware Sandra uses relatively few people, but feels that the test results are still very professional. Its version information is shown above.

The memory bandwidth score is 22.023 GB/s.

The memory latency score is 27.4 ns.

The cache and memory score is 147.547 GB/s.

Memory transaction throughput score 32.30MTPS.

2:3200MHz (XMP mode)

MSI motherboard open memory XMP mode is very simple, just use the mouse to click on the XMP icon in the upper left corner of the BIOS, so that the word OFF will turn ON words on it.

Open the CPU-Z software, you can see the memory operating frequency is 3200MHz. The timing of the memory at this frequency is 14-14-14-34, the TRFC of the memory is 560 clocks, and the CR is 2T.

In Master Lu's test, the memory performance score was 10422, and the computer overall performance score was 321,210.

In the AIDA64 software, scores are displayed at a frequency of 3200MHz. In the Memory Benchmark test, the speeds of Read, Write, and Copy (in MB/S) are 44699, 46553, and 40676, respectively.

The memory bandwidth score is 31.645 GB/s.

The memory delay score is 17.7 ns.

The cache and memory score is 164.867GB/s.

The memory transaction throughput score was 32.37 MTPS.

3: 3466MHz (overclocking mode)

Here's a simple overclocking of the Chichi F4-3200C14D-16GTZ kit memory. The motherboard in my hands supports 4133MHz memory. I only super-small up here, simple to 3466MHz, voltage is 1.36V. If you want to go higher, you need to add more voltage.

Open the CPU-Z software, you can see the memory operating frequency is 3466MHz. The timing of the memory at this frequency is 15-15-15-37, the TRFC of the memory is 607 clocks, and the CR is 2T. In fact, you can also optimize it, for example, to make the TRFC smaller, but I'm too lazy to apply the overclocking data on the motherboard.

In Master Lu's test, the memory performance score was 9822, and the computer's overall performance score was 311650.

In the AIDA64 software, scores are displayed at a frequency of 3466 MHz. In the Memory Benchmark test, the speeds of Read, Write, and Copy (in MB/S) are respectively 46599, 50309, and 43308.

The memory bandwidth score is 33.572 GB/s.

The memory delay score is 18.0ns.

The cache and memory score is 155.673 GB/s.

The memory transaction throughput score is 29.60MTPS.

Finally, look at the test score summary chart. It is not difficult to see from the chart that the performance of the Chichi F4-3200C14D-16GTZ memory is very good. If you don't like tossing, open the XMP mode directly on the motherboard to get a good score. If you like tossing, you can overclock yourself, so you can get a higher memory frequency, and higher performance. Of course, the default 2133MHz frequency is not recommended.

advantage:

1: The memory frequency is high, the timing is low, and the performance is very good. After the XMP is turned on, the frequency of 3200MHz is directly reached and the timing is only C14. In addition this memory has a good overclocking potential, suitable for tossing overclocking users.

2: The appearance of the product is beautiful and has a good appearance.

insufficient:

1: The price of the price is a bit high and it is more suitable for buying when you are engaged in activities.

2: There is only one built-in XMP. It feels a little wasteful and should be added to the higher XMP.
