Apple will launch second-generation iPad in early 2011

Kumar has consulted with Apple's supply chain and production partners and learned about the detailed configuration of the iPad 2. It is reported that iPad 2 will be equipped with a 7-inch touch screen, front VGA camera, in March will also launch a 1 Gigapixel rear camera.

This also confirms the recent rumor that Apple is reducing the size of the iPad in order to counter the challenge of a new batch of small tablet computers on the market. However, the previous rumors are also not true, previously reported that the new iPad will be listed before the end of Christmas sales season, but the latest news that the iPad 2's listing date is close to next spring.

According to Kumar, the iPad 2 will be jointly manufactured by Taiwan’s Daihwa Industrial and Prudential. Heshuo is also responsible for providing OEM assembly services for Apple's CDMA version of the iPhone. Verizon is expected to distribute the CDMA version of the iPhone from early next year.

The decision by Apple to launch a new version of the iPad that is smaller in size and probably relatively cheaper is a bit puzzling.
