As we know, regulation conception of electronic products safety is going througth a epoch-changing time, especially for IT products, A/V products and communication euqipments, the Introduction of all new standard UL/EN/IEC 32368-1 will repalce present UL/EN/IEC 60950-1(ITE standard) and UL/EN/IEC 60065-1(A/V standard).
According to the conference resolution between EC and CELELEC in 15, December, 2017, EU will announce that enforrement date of EN 62368-1:2014(version 2) will be extended 18 months in the next official journal.
Remark: According to the time determination to [put in market" by EU CE mark, products must accord with statute as it enter into sale, it showc that products can`t enter into EU market with EN60950-1 and EN 60065 from the date of 20, december, 2020.
In term of such extention, CELELEC propose to delete chapter 4.1.1 which agree to use old version EN 60950-1 & EN 60065 to evaluate element, to make it accord with version 3 of EN 62368-1.
According to the above decision, EN 62368-1 will become a independent standard, does not cover the content of old standard EN 60950-1 and EN 60065.
Before 20 december, 2020, the options of IET/AV products safety test certification is EN 60950-1/EN 60065 or EN 62368-1, version 2 or EN62368-1, version 3.
Kindly reminder: North American UL 32368-1 is totally on the basis of the decision of previous UL 62368-1, version 2, both enforcement date and components using date do not have change.
