The target applications all leveraging LUXEON (3) Rebel LEDs - are 4" and 6" recessed downlights, low-bay lighting and commercial refrigeration lighting systems.
Reference design development by Future Lighting Solutions included extensive work to define ideal target performance specifications for each application to ensure that the designs meet the majority of customer needs in terms of light output, light uniformity, system efficacy, lifetime and cost.

All LUXEON Rebel LEDs, power solutions, standard optics, heat sinks and connectors included in the reference designs are available at Future Lighting Solutions to enable the implementation of the LED-based luminaires for prototyping or volume production.

The reference designs were developed by a team of Future Lighting Solutions optical, thermal and electronics engineers as well as the company's prototype design team. Proprietary Future Lighting Solutions development tools such as SSL Designer, Usable Light Tool, LED Reliability Tool and QLed Thermal Simulation Software Werew used to accelerate and refine the design efforts.
