The combination of holographic display and augmented reality software developed by VNTANA and AI technology developed by Satisfi Labs has created an AI holographic concierge that can interact with people without the need for heads-up and mobile devices.
When the visitor is standing in front of the display, the concierge can greet with customized information and answer the questions asked. The company also integrates the holographic concierge with its e-commerce system, giving it a recommendation function.
The system also uses face recognition to record behaviors and conversations to learn purchasing preferences. VNTANA and Satisfi will also provide a sentiment analysis that informs the staff when the holographic AI is facing angry customers.
This week’s advertising week in New York showcased the technology, with targets for the retail, sports entertainment and hospitality industries. The company also envisages investing something like a digital receptionist or hologram player, which can inform customers about sales and business hours, or guide fans to seats or kiosks at the stadium. Of course, the virtual hotel concierge can also complete services such as check-in and restaurant reservation for guests.
For its part, VNTANA offers holographic experiences for technology partners and customers such as Microsoft, Intel, Nike, Pepsi, Mesa-Desi Mercedes, ABC, AT&T, and Universal Studios. One of their projects, Hollagram, merged Microsoft's Kinect with its holographic software and hardware to create an interactive AR experience for people attending conferences and participating in sports activities.
Ashley Crowder, VNTANA’s CEO and co-founder, said in a statement: “Our holographic technology has helped many brands enhance their communication and engagement experience with customers. We are very excited to provide this platform with this new feature. The cooperation has enabled us to integrate AI and AR for the first time, so our holographic technology can interact with consumers at a higher level and use our trusted platform to track data to create a more personalized experience and advertising."
Satisfi has developed AI-based applications for Major League Baseball Advanced Media, SoftBank Robotics, and Mall of America. Satisfi, for example, used IBM's Watson AI platform to create customer service applications for Macy department stores.
Don White, CEO and co-founder of Satisfi Laboratories, said: “We are very excited to work with VNTANA and create an unprecedented opportunity to help the development of AI and holographic technology. Consumers will be amazed at this technology and will be very I like the easy and intelligent interaction with holography."
