On August 30, 2010, the General Office of the National Development and Reform Commission, the General Office of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and the General Office of the Ministry of Transport jointly issued the Notice on Organizing the Application of Demonstration Projects for the Application of Semiconductor Lighting Products. On November 10th, the demonstration project of semiconductor lighting (LED) products, which was represented by China National Electronics Import and Export Corporation, was selected for the bidding project and opened at the Meiquan Palace Hotel, attracting 94 lighting manufacturers from all over the country to participate in the competition.
