Sichuan Power Equipment Manufacturing Quality Improvement Demonstration Project Accepted

On April 13, an expert group of the State Ministry of Industry and Information Technology arrived in Deyang to examine and verify the demonstration project for quality improvement of Sichuan power generation equipment manufacturing. After this review, the project was approved by experts at one time.

In 2009, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology launched a pilot project to improve industrial product quality demonstration projects. Five provinces and cities including Chongqing, Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Sichuan and Guangdong became the first pilot regions. The demonstration projects involved power generation equipment, power transmission and transformation equipment, and household appliances. Motorcycles, dairy products, extra large castings and forgings and other industries. The demonstrative project for the improvement of manufacturing quality of power generation equipment was determined in Sichuan. Specifically, the “three major plants” of Deyang Erzhong, Dongqi, and Dongdian took the pilot project of the demonstration project.

The specific contents of the three large-scale demonstration projects include: China National Ergonomics Co., Ltd. conducts technical research and development and technological transformation around the oversized large-scale casting and forging parts of the power generating equipment that are currently urgently needed by the country, and comprehensively upgrades the quality of large casting and forging parts for power generation equipment; Motor Co., Ltd. Power Generation Equipment Manufacturing Quality Improvement Demonstration Project; Ultra Supercritical 1000MW Steam Turbine Manufacturing Quality Improvement Demonstration Project.

The evaluation of the expert group of the Ministry of Industry believes that through the implementation of the project, the overall level of Sichuan's power generation equipment manufacturing industry has been promoted, the product structure has been continuously optimized, the manufacturing capacity has been significantly improved, the technological level has continued to increase, and the market share has steadily increased. The project has obvious economic and social benefits.
