Dell XPS 13-9350 Keyboard

4. Dell XPS 13-9350 Keyboard and Touchpad4.1 Keyboard

4.2 Touchpad
I am a touchpad heavy user. Those who know me all know this. So far, the legend of touchpad playing CS is still circulating among undergraduate students. Among the notebooks I mentioned above, the touchpad's benchmark is undoubtedly the 12-inch Macbook. If you use the Macbook's touchpad as a benchmark, the Dell XPS 13's touchpad score is about 70 points. Its advantages and disadvantages are:
Advantages: The touchpad is very smooth; good directionality, very responsive, very hands-free, almost no stickiness; click feel better.
Disadvantages: Multi-gesture operation processing is not very good. In Chrome browser, two-finger scroll screens sometimes appear to jump, sometimes mistakenly recognized as zoom in and out gestures; when scrolling, they don’t hold hands, and sometimes they need two slides to achieve two-finger sliding pages; the touchpad area is slightly smaller .
Overall, the Dell XPS 13 keyboard touchpad performs well. The keyboard can get 88/100, and the touchpad can get 70/100, which is slightly better than the Asus UX305 LA (85/100, 65/100) ).
5. Dell XPS 13-9350 screenMany users buy the Dell XPS 13 9350, which is directed at the Infinity Edge screen. resolution, all the details are present; from all angles, this screen's viewing angle can be regarded as the top, and the screen edge does not leak out of light (leakage phenomenon in the FView video more than a year ago I've been there, but there is no light leakage in this unit I borrowed.)
In terms of color reproduction, this screen also has a very high standard. Through software testing, sRGB - 99%, NTSC - 72% and aRGB - 77%, this performance is not simple for a windows laptop, and slightly better than Asus UX305 LA (98%, 69%, 74% ).
In terms of expressiveness, nothing to say is absolutely enjoyable! Since I am not at all touch screen, touch testing is skipped. To be honest, the touch of this screen is very sensitive, everyday clicks, sliding pages, multi-point gestures are good, but too tiring for me, cumbersome to use, and tired. I often think that we have created an excellent mouse and touchpad as an extension of our fingers. Why do we have to go back? Isn't it just as crap as having a remote control and making a touchscreen TV?
Of course, this screen is also flawed:
The brightness is a bit low, looks really dark, and adjusting to maximum brightness is not as transparent as the Asus UX305 LA;
Because it is a touch screen, it is a glassy screen, and it has serious reflection in the sun. It is not as good as the matte screen of the Asus UX305 LA.
Core i7-6560U, 16GB memory, this configuration to give you a few seconds to introduce the boot, a few seconds to start the program, open a web card is not a card, high-definition video does not work it is completely meaningless, in a nutshell - fly the general Feeling, casually (made for death)!
The Skylake Core i7-6560U can be said to be one of the most powerful 15W CPUs available in the ultrabook. The XPS 13 9350 I borrowed from me was a PCI-e NVMe model numbered Samsung PM951 BXV7. 7. Dell XPS 13-9350 battery life and feverSince the computer is not mine, it is impossible to test the battery life in detail. The 56Wh battery capacity is the same as the previously measured Asus UX305 LA, but since the HD screen consumes more power, the CPU is the higher frequency i7, and this notebook is more than willing to raise the frequency, so after the load, dell XPS 13 The 9350's battery life is not as good as the UX305 LA. In the IE Edge browser for 1080P video viewing, life is about 5.5 hours, local 1080P video playback, can extend the life of 6.5 hours. The game life could not be tested. It is estimated that it is about 2 hours.
Fever is a minor problem with this dell XPS 13 9350. Looking at youtube on your lap, you can feel warm, somatosensory, and fever is worse than UX305 LA. When you play the game, the knee support will not last long and it will be hot. It's estimated to be 46 and 7°C. The reason is high, I think. The frequency of i7 processor and Iris 540 graphics card, compact body and small fan is not conducive to the rapid dissipation of heat is caused by more serious causes of fever.
8. SummaryXPS 13 9350, who had the privilege of borrowing from colleagues, gave a simple evaluation. This level of game, do not try to eat more graphics game; keyboard and touchpad combination is good, very pleasing to use; the most important thing is that this is a 13-inch notebook, but there is an 11-inch Small size, materials, workmanship are very character, Yan value is quite high! In short, I think this computer is worth more than 1900 US dollars.
But I think that such a high configuration is a bit "wasteful" for most users. If you let me choose for the average user, I may be more inclined to i5 CPU, 8G memory, 256GB SSD, 1080P non-touch screen version. I think such a combination may achieve a better balance in performance, price, and endurance.
