U.S. cable operator plans to limit password sharing

Citing the report of Bloomberg News recently held at the UBS annual summit, Tom Rutledge, chief executive of Charte, the fourth largest cable TV operator in the United States, said that many Americans are used to sharing streaming media accounts with friends and family, resulting in excessive consumption of video traffic. Many people do not have Enjoy free service when paid. Through coordination with channel providers, Charter will limit and regulate password sharing. The Bloomberg report pointed out that the company has asked Viacom to limit password sharing by reducing the number of simultaneous logins.
